Information Of Shakira

Shakira's World Cup Collaborators Banned From Zimbabwe......
The African pop group which collaborated with Shakira for a magical World Cup 2010 concert has been barred from performing in Zimbabwe after insulting the country's president in a controversial new music video.

The Colombian singer and FreshlyGround won over worldwide audiences with their song "Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)", which became the official anthem for the soccer tournament in the band's native South Africa.

But the members of the pop group found themselves at the center of political controversy last week after Zimbabwean authorities revoked work permits for a series of planned October this year concerts in the country, according to singer Zolani Mahola.

Mahola tells The Associated Press no reason was given, but she believes the band's controversial "Chicken to Change" video, released earlier this month, is to blame because in it they ridicule Zimbabwe's President.

The video features a puppet depicting longtime President Robert Mugabe isolated in a limousine, uncaring of his people's suffering during a time of economic and political crisis. The puppet then transforms into a fearful chicken as Zolani sings for change.

FreshlyGround flautist Simon Attwell explains, "We wanted to do something that's funny, as opposed to being directly provocative," adding his bandmates thought "humour is a little easier to digest. But evidently not". Zimbabwean immigration officials had refused to comment on the work permits for FreshlyGround as WENN went to press.

 Shakira will miss Staes clash...........

Vasco boss Carlos das Neves
Vasco boss Carlos das Neves The Malawi international, who is on loan from Orlando Pirates, was expected to return after completing a ban for a red card he received in the Nedbank Cup last season.

However, the latest reports claim Kamwendo's work permit only arrived this week, delaying his registration with the Premier Soccer League (PSL). League rules stipulate a player can only start his suspension once he is registered, meaning 'Shakira' will have to sit out another two games.

The PSL rookies could ill-afford the setback as they chase their first points of the campaign from the foot of the table. Their case also wasn't helped this week when rumours of indiscipline surfaced around fellow new recruit Masibusane Zongo.

There is some positive news, however, in that Ugandan goalkeeper Postnet Umony - who starred in their NFD title run last term - is available after receiving his work permit.

Vasco will rely on club skipper Keenan Lesch to drive the team forward in midfield, while one-time Bafana star Sibusiso Zuma is expected to lead the line.

Meanwhile, Ea Lla Koto - who were last campaign's 'draw specialists' - are at it again with two points from their first two fixtures. However, they were creditable results given the quality of opposition in Santos and Orlando Pirates.

Stars will rely on captain Kennedy Mweene in between the poles, as well as Kingston Nkhatha, Madoda Motha and Paulus Masehe for inspiration and should back themselves to exploit a wounded Vasco with the benefit of home support at Botshabelo Stadium.

Nevertheless, club coach Sunday Chizamgba is wary of the Capetonians' threat at set pieces and said he expects them to pepper his defence with "diagonal balls"
.
